Glitch Softcore Full Evening Performance2026/2027
The glacier observes us, the water stores our touch, the wind carries our stories onward—humans leave traces. We are not alone in our perception; we are embedded in a web of phenomenological interrelations. It is not only we who perceive our surroundings—the surroundings also perceive us. These observations form the premise of the artistic research.
The project Glitch Softcore is a multi-year endeavor situated at the intersection of research, performance, mediation, and community-based formats. At its center is the creation of a new full-length stage work of the same title featuring four performers.
The work is an artistic exploration of the glacier as a living entity and of the digital worlds of the game The Sims. Glitch Softcore will be developed in collaboration with Tanzhaus Zürich as part of a long-term partnership in the years 2026/2027 within the Accomplices model.

What happens to us when landscapes disappear that we have never truly entered – and yet still mourn? The project is about building a relationship to vanishing natural environments through artistic and sensory practices, even from a distance. One’s own cultural mythology serves as a starting point to explore themes such as withdrawal, alienation, and failure in relation to nature – not as an endpoint, but as an opportunity for reconnection. The themes of failure and farewell permeate our everyday lives; the piece takes up these conditions and weaves them into material that, in turn, allows space to perceive humans as living, evolving processes.
