Research
With Scapes - Somatic Catwalk Jamuna Mirjam Zweifel and collaborator Larissa Riesen explore the relational fabric between body and textile as equal counterparts. Where does the body end, and where does the textile begin? How are these hierarchies negotiated? In what ways can textiles transform movement and how can movement, in turn, transform textiles?
As a duo, the artists investigate the relationship between the (moving) body and textile, experimenting with their boundaries, interactions, and respective agency. Through the project, Jamuna & Larissa develop interdisciplinary practices in which textiles are not merely decorative accessories but active participants in the performative process.
