I overlayer my surface with another one
I dive into
A cave
A hollow
A chamber

Are you doing the same?
Where do we meet?

I underlayer myself
Hitting against the invisible surfaces
Strobing against the air
Strobing against the cold feeling of this
Shuddering the dust of a selfregulated things
It is subtle

Carrying a body means carrying holes. On the base of sensing the world through the idea of holes and the wish to grab holes in order to find something special, we can acknowledge a wave of transformation, which is starting as an inner practical state and eventually starts to interact with other existing beings in the room.

„The encapsulation by digital devices, which shifts the focus of the masses and creates an incredible paradox, so often skips the extent of our imagination. But it is the reality of our generation. The constant immersion in virtual worlds is like travelling to people, places, things, possibilities, impossibilities, knowledge and non-knowledge. Infinite dimensions and a new space-time relation arise.“

What happens to the physical body while we are caught and left in virtual holes?
How can we reconnect with the nature and the environment, by creating a hole of sensitivity and experiencing awareness?

Dance and water. A collaboration with the established American choreographer Meg Stuart, stage and theater artist Philippe Quesne, designer Jean-Paul Lespagnard, musician Mieko Suzuki and a constellation of international performers.

Created specifically for the Saffa Island in Zürich, Waterworks is a continuation of Stuart's exploration of water which she initiated in 2021.  This unique performative event explores the shallow water and the island's shore as a transition between nature and civilization, and the interactions of liquidity and body, of natural medium and human movement.

In Waterworks, the performers evoke dreamlike fictions on a manmade island. The water is the stage for those scenarios – liberating, connective, terrifying and full of possibilities.

We Object is a collective extension of I Object, originally created for two performers. What emerges is chaotic but yet relaxing and gives rise to scenarios that range from everyday existence to science fiction.

A metamorphic re-enactment of Simone Aughtlerony's iconic piece

Full evening piece

Adopting a spontaneous diplomacy, it reveals a discipline modeled on behaviours from other species who know about reward because they have grown up with the dance between the common good and the lone impulse. The tyranny of the majority is measured up against singular desire as The Field sings, builds, collectively mythologizes and complicates what it means to be and act together. The content of this work bears striking similarity to the ensemble’s endeavour: an intuitive approach to collaborative action that hopes to render an advantageous group dynamic.

Take your body for a walk

CONCEPT The Field in collaboration with Monica Gillette and Tanzhaus Zürich

Take Your Body For a Walk is an interactive format which aims to build a collective experience and an online community for the duration of a walk. Inputs are sent via chat messages to invite participants to take part in a sensorial adventure. In a time when individual and collective well-being are compromised, Take Your Body For a Walk provides means to reconnect with our own body, our surroundings and our fellow humans. While being gently guided, the participants are actively involved in the design of their walk upon their desires in the moment and their individual locations, may it be the outdoors or within the comfort of their own homes.

NULL

INSTALLATION and PERFORMANCE with Zookunft.Project.

The collective Zookunft.Project aims to create temporary landscapes, nurture a shared memory and exchange practices between different disciplines. The basis of the form of communication is the circle. The Cypher - from which the dancers of the collective took the original interest of a research, always gets back to the point where authenticity, creativity, inventiveness and courage can be lived. How important it has become, to sit again together, withouth fronts. Zookunft.Project is developing more and more into an open place where projects are realised, people cook together, initiate small and big things and, above all, take time to think outside the box.

NULL is the collective's first collaborative work within the residency and open doors in the exhibition space at KunstimDepot 2021.

A dada-like exploration of fakeness and reality in which the inconsistencies of parallel truths are revealed

Short piece (20 mins)

The largest information resource we have, the internet, which has radically altered our modes of communication, has zero obligation to be factual. Anyone can say anything and present it as truthful, correct and unquestionable. This world wide web where anything goes has marked the advent of a posttruth world where the boundary between fact and fiction becomes more difficult to discern and the distinction between truth-telling and lies less clear. This new reality has permeated our lives, infiltrating the apparent with ambiguity and staining the effable with ambivalence.

Performative interactions between humans and random objects collected in the streets of Zürich

Short Piece (10 mins), presented in indoor and outdoor contexts

I Object originates from the desire of non-violent destruction as a method for creation. Choreographic scores are used to animate the objects, the performers and the space. This results in a landscape of constant transformation, heightening the performers' awareness, spontaneity and playfulness. In acting with the objects both in a careful and platonic manner, the performers remember the history of the relationship between humans and objects and question what it could look like in the future.

Spekulatives Unternehmen für Übergangsrituale von Wildnissen

January 7 2023, Zurich Switzerland

CONCEPT & REALISATION Matthias Annen, Maureen Zollinger, Jamuna Mirjam Zweifel, OUTSIDE HELP Lea Götschi & Othmar Anne

TERRAIN SAUVAGE is an invitation to accompany nature in its dying process, before the start of a demolition.

Shortly before the demolition of a building, we want to create a space of experience and encounter to engage with the wilderness together, to open our senses, to collect impressions and to share them with each other. In this way, we let little (urban) wild natures come alive through us once again and carry the impressions away within us in different directions - just as the inhabitants of the garden will do. In this very strong moment of transition we build new synapses towards a shrinking wild.
